The joys of sleeping

A. has had a fever the past couple days, thankfully it is gone. CNA course is over, now Im just waiting to take the state test.
And just in case you ever wonder what it is like to co-sleep here you have it... A. mainly does The Dog house, and Snow Angels.

1st weekend done

Well I had my first weekend of clinicals for my CNA a couple days ago. It went well, but we didnt do much. The next two weekends we will be doing more CNA stuff, hopefully Ill pass the course and the state test because Ill be needing a new job really soon.

Another note... Kathleen left us for Topeka. A. was a great mover and slept most of the time.

Strep and Class

Well I have strep. A. is on antibiotics for his ear infection so we are hoping that helps him so he doesnt get strep as well.  Last week I started my nursing assistant class. This weekend I will have my first clinicals! Kind of nervous but I hope I am able to pick everything up quickly.

The learning begins

This week I started my CNA class. Next weekend will be the first weekend of clinicals. This is defiantly going to be an interesting journey. I am going to be really nervous for clinicals. I just hope Im able to memorize and continue to remember all the information. Last night I started working on abbreviations... some do not make any sense ac= before meals    QID= four times daily
Oh well at least I am able to remember them even if they dont make any sense.

Get me out of here

I hate being at work. All the lies, people being so fake, politics.... everything! I just want to get out of here. Praying a good paying job comes along soon.

CNA

So I think I have life partially figured out. For all practical nurse programs you must have a CNA. This summer I am hoping to take a nurse aid program and hopefully find a good paying CNA job. As we have money I will take my pre-reqs for the PN program and hopefully be able to apply for one in the spring.

I hope that this is the right thing to do.

I got a shirt for A. today that will be the solution to end any disagreements between Andrew and I.

More school, more money?

Oh life... Yesterday Andrew and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. A. is 14 weeks old. Im still looking for a job (luckily I still have my current one). Ive realized that my two majors are pretty much useless to me in Wichita. So Im looking into going back to school. I am mainly looking at the medical field. I think it would be awesome to do sonography but I cant find a program that I can do part time. So it looks like nursing may be in my future. Please pray that God will guide me in this decision. I need something that will provide lots of job opportunities and a good pay so that I can help provide for our family.

future nurse?

10 weeks

A. is 10 weeks old today! This week he has sat up in his swing for the first time... not the best thing when it is swinging. Then last night he splashed in his bath water. The past couple weeks he has done two art projects at daycare... so this weekend I told Andrew we have to do a bunch of art projects with A. Mommy isnt too happy about the daycare doing all these things with him that I wanted to experience with him first.
